The artist presents some thirty pieces at Estudi Tur Costa, including paintings, collages and sculptures, sharing a common denominator: colour and passion.
Miranda Makaroff (Spain, 1984) draws a world of pure colour, of explosion and joy, in the Es Taller room of the Estudi.
In the main room she shows a selection of works in which she explores volume and perspective more fully and connects with her personal monsters and ghosts.

The artist is known for her colourful paintings, asserting the need to use colour as a tool to deconstruct happiness and express the essence of the human being.
She devises new ways of activating and developing a portrait of humanity. Her work, full of complexity, realism, beauty, complications, everyday life and joy, shows how human beings share their way of being in the world.
She acknowledges humanist perspectives, presented as a theatre in which visitors are invited to play and to put themselves in each character’s shoes.
Miranda builds and deconstructs myths using symbols such as women and geishas… Human beings cut off from their own awareness, desperately looking for a role to identify with.
